Meet my dogs Lucy & Stella. Lucy was our baby before we had kids. We rescued her from the pound about eight years ago. She has been a loving companion that we have been lucky enough to share our life’s with. Recently we started to notice slight changes in the way Lucy was acting. She was not eating very much and sleeping a whole lot. We took her to the vet and discovered that our Lucy Dog has a cancerous tumor in her spleen about the size of a softball. The tumor & it’s little baby tumors are not able to be removed and we will be lucky if she makes it to Christmas. This news came as a shock to our family. It was hard enough to have to hear this news and then to have to tell our children. My daughters reply was “mom, I’m not sad because Lucy will get to live with Jesus”. Oh my! Way to make your mama cry! Lucy is a big part of our family and we will miss her dearly when she’s gone. I decided I wanted a few updated pictures with our family before our Lucy girl was gone. So, here are a few favorites from our quick shoot. My husband and I attempted to act normal and get a few maternity shots as well. Let’s just say I’m way better behind the camera than in front of it!!
